Ambassador publishes book for social entrepreneurs

Craig Dearden-Phillips has published a book for new social entrepreneurs to guide them through setting up a social business.

Craig’s book: Your Chance to Change the World: The No-fibbing Guide to Social Entrepreneurship is aimed at people who need practical advice and inspiration. It contains anecdotes, top tips and real-life stories from himself and 25 other social entrepreneurs.

The ambassor, who founded Speaking Up, thinks people setting up such organisations often feel alone and may not have developed the networks and know-how needed to get things off the ground, despite having great drive and ambition.

Craig explains: "The idea was simple: to write the book that I would have bought at the beginning of my entrepreneurial journey. My inspiration to share my experiences actually came from my failures more than my successes."

Craig also has a popular and frank monthly column in Social Enterprise Magazine. To see a sample, go to www.socialenterprisemag.co.uk/sem/tradingplace.
