Claudine to be MBE for services to social enterprise

Community champion and ambassador, Claudine Reid, has been honoured in the Queen’s Birthday honours list and will become an MBE for her services to social enterprise.

She is the director of PJ's Community Services, a social enterprise in Croydon that seeks to support the local community through care, education, and social development programmes.

Claudine and PJ's have been involved in care and support for the elderly since 1992 and have recently have expanded to run mentoring programmes with young people who have been excluded from school. 

On receiving news of the MBE, she said: “I am really delighted to receive this award. The team at PJ’s do what we do because of the passion that we have for our work. It’s a privilege to have a job where you can help people so directly. It’s humbling that our work has been recognised in this way.”
